3. Atlantic Technological University (Non EU Scholarship)

Eligibility –

In order to be eligible for a Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship, applicants must have a domiciliary of origin outside the EU/EEA, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Candidates will first need to apply for admission to a master’s, postgraduate diploma or PhD programme offered by an eligible Irish higher education institution as per that institution’s admission procedures. Candidates are advised to make enquiries directly to the relevant higher education institution about the eligibility of their course for GOI-IES. Where available, the institutions’ contact details are included in Appendix 1 of the 2026 GOI-IES call document, “Eligible Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)”.
Applicants must have a conditional or final offer of admission to an eligible Irish higher education institution at the time of applying for a Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship. Proof of admission must be submitted with the GOI-IES application, in the relevant section of the GOI-IES application form. Prospective candidates who have previously held a GOI-IES scholarship are not eligible to apply. Russian and Belarusian nationals are not eligible to apply.

Amount –

A Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship consists of a stipend amounting to €10,000 for one year of full-time study at NFQ levels 9 or 10. The awardees’ host higher education institutions are required to give a full fee waiver to the awardees for the year of their scholarship.

4. National College of Ireland (Masters Academic Merit Scholarships)

6. Business Postgraduate Merit Scholarships

7. The George J. Mitchell Scholarship

Eligibility –

All eligible candidates, who are prepared to enter a rigorous scholarship competition, are encouraged to apply.

You are eligible to apply for the Mitchell Scholarship if:

You are a U.S. citizen;
You are between 18 and 30 years old on 1 October in the year in which you are applying; and
You have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university before beginning study as a Mitchell Scholar. Degrees from international accredited universities are acceptable if all other conditions are met.

Although married applicants or applicants with partners are accepted, no allowance is made for the expenses of an applicant’s spouse, partner, or dependents. It is important to note that, to obtain the necessary visa or residency permit, the relevant government agency in Ireland or Northern Ireland may require spouses/partners, who are non-EU citizens, to prove financial resources for the year.

10. Shannon College International Scholarships

Eligibility –

This international student scholarship will be awarded to the postgraduate students who achieve excellent academic results and shows their drive and determination to succeed in the hospitality industry.

Amount –

The successful applicant will be awarded a scholarship of up to 50% of their tuition fee. This amount will be deducted from your fee. This scholarship will be awarded based on your previous academic achievements, your performance during interview and your personal statement.

Applications are submitted via an online form and a step by step guide will assist you through the process. The course code is MBH and full and part-time options are available.
Supporting Documents
When making an online application, additional documentation to supplement your application will be required such as a personal statement, CV, and references.
You will also be required to upload certified copies of transcripts and English Language qualification, for example IELTS.

11. Scholarships for International Students (The College of Science and Engineering)

12. Government of Ireland International Education Scholarships
