1. Inlaks Shivdasani Scholarships

Eligibility –
- The applicant must be an Indian passport holder who is resident in India at the time of application.
- The applicant must be born on or after 1st January 1995. (for the 2025 scholarship applications)
- The applicant must hold a degree from a recognised university in India. If you are in the final year of graduation and awaiting results, you are eligible to apply.
- Applicants who hold an undergraduate degree from a recognised university abroad must have resided continuously, been employed, or have been studying in India for at least two years after their undergraduation, in order to be eligible to apply.
- Required minimum percentage/grade
- For Social Sciences, Humanities, Law, Fine Arts, Architecture and related subjects, applicants must have a minimum academic grade of 65%, CGPA 6.8/10, or GPA 2.6/4 from a recognized university/institution.
- For Mathematics, Sciences, Environment and related subjects, applicants must have a minimum academic grade of 70%, CGPA 7.2/10, or GPA 3/4 from a recognised university/institution.
- It is essential to have prior admission to the institution and course chosen at the time of the application. The Foundation will not consider applicants without evidence of admission.
- Applicants who have an English language certification as a conditional part of their offer letter or as a part of any other condition, need to attain that certification before applying for the Scholarship.
- Applicants who have received a deferred offer of admission must have a valid offer for the academic year in which they plan to study to be eligible for that year’s Scholarship.
Amount –
- The value depends on the course and covers tuition fees, living expenses, one-way travel, and health allowance, up to USD 100,000.

2. GREAT Scholarships India

Eligibility –
- a citizen of India .
- have an undergraduate degree, be motivated and have an interest in the proposed subject area.
- meet the English language requirement of the UK university.
- establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment.
- be willing to attend a networking event for all UK-based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK.
- be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and their HEI and act as an ambassador for the GREAT scholarships.
- as an alumnus of the GREAT scholarships, be willing occasionally to speak to potential candidates about his or her own experience of studying in the UK
Amount –
- For the 2025-26 academic year there are 26 postgraduate scholarships available from UK universities, across various subjects for students from India. Each scholarship was worth a minimum of £10,000 towards tuition fees for a one-year postgraduate course.

3. The Global Study Awards

Eligibility –
- Be 18 years or over on 1 January – Have taken an IELTS test at a British Council centre, and receive an official Test Report Form (TRF) issued by the British Council in the last 2 years and before the application deadline – Have a valid International Student Identity Card (ISIC) and/or International Youth Travel Card (IYTC) at the time of application – Plan to enrol on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme abroad in the academic year starting January of next year, onwards – Provide an acceptance letter from the relevant institution by the relevant cut-off date – Write a short review of your study experience at STeXX.com Successful candidates will be willing to engage with the British Council IELTS, ISIC and StudyPortals communities, and publicly share their experiences with other students. The Global Study Awards will be available to prospective students in all countries worldwide. The Global Study Awards will enable the successful candidate(s) to study abroad, on any chosen undergraduate or postgraduate programme at a higher education institution. The Global Study Awards cannot be used by a successful candidate to study domestically. Please note that your application must be submitted in English.

Application Process –
- Each year, two winners are selected to receive the award. Each of the Global Study Awards is merit-based and is aimed at students who plan to enrol in a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate programme in any country worldwide.
- The prize will be applied towards the winner’s tuition fees and will be paid directly to the higher education institution where you plan to study.
- If the tuition fees are below the maximum individual award fund of £10,000, we may allocate the remaining funds towards your living costs for a maximum of 52 weeks, starting from when you first registered at the institution.

4. Commonwealth Scholarship Commission

Eligibility –
- To be considered for these scholarships, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.
- Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
- Be available to start academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2025.
- By September 2025, hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honours standard, or a lower second-class degree and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree)*. The CSC would not normally fund a second Master’s degree. If applying for a second Master’s degree, applicants must provide justification as to why they wish to undertake this study.
- Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
- Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format.
Amount –
- Each scholarship provides:
- Approved airfare from the Scholar’s home country to the UK and return at the end of the award (the CSC will not reimburse the cost of fares for dependants, nor the cost of journeys made before the award is confirmed).
- Approved tuition fees: full fees are covered by agreement between the CSC and the UK university, and Scholars are not liable to pay for any part of the tuition fee.
- Stipend (living allowance) at the rate of £1,378 per month, or £1,690 per month for those at universities in the London metropolitan area (rates quoted at current levels).
- Warm clothing allowance, where applicable.
- Study travel grant towards the cost of study-related travel within the UK or overseas.
- If a Scholar has children and is widowed, divorced, or a single parent, child allowance of child allowance of £590 per month for the first child, and £146 per month for the second and third child under the age of 16, if their children are living with them at the same address in the UK.
Application Process –
- Applications for Commonwealth Master’s scholarships for the 2025/26 academic year are now closed. The scholarships are for study in the UK beginning in September/October 2025.
- The CSC is unable to accept any applications or documentation not submitted via the online application system.
- As well as applying to the CSC, applicants must apply to a nominator.
- There are two types of nominator invited to participate in the Master’s scholarship programme:
- National nominating agencies – this is the main route of application.
- Selected non-governmental organisations and charitable bodies.
- Participating nominators put forward an agreed number of candidates to the CSC for consideration. The CSC does not accept direct applications for these scholarships.
- Each nominator oversees its own selection process and may have additional eligibility criteria. Applicants must check with the nominator for their specific advice and rules for applying, and their own eligibility criteria.
- Nominators may set their own closing dates for applications. They will nominate candidates to the CSC by December 2024.
- Selections are made from the pool of nominations. Candidates are asked to note that a nomination is no guarantee of selection.
- Applicants can expect to hear the outcome of their applications by July 2025. We will contact all applicants by email and they should ensure all folders of their email accounts are monitored, including junk mail and spam folders. A scholarship offer may be withdrawn if a candidate is emailed but does not respond within a specified time.

5. Felix Scholarship (SOAS University of London)

Eligibility –
- Must be Indian nationals, not currently living or studying outside of India.
- Must not have previously studied for one year or more outside India.
- Felix Master’s Alumni who have obtained a distinction at Master’s may apply for a PhD Felix scholarship.
- Candidates must have at least a first class Bachelor’s degree from an Indian University or comparable institution. We may give priority to applicants with a higher first class Bachelor’s degree.
- Exceptionally, those with an upper second-class degree at the Bachelor’s level may be considered for PhD if they hold a first class degree at the Master’s level.
- Those who already hold degrees from universities outside India are not eligible to apply.
- Those who already hold a Master’s degree cannot apply for a Master’s degree scholarship.
- Those who already hold a PhD cannot apply for a PhD scholarship.
- Those who have already taken up a scholarship to pursue PhD studies at an Indian University are not eligible for a Felix scholarship.

- Graduates are expected to return to work in their home country.
- Candidates must have submitted a complete application for admission by the scholarship application deadline of 12:00PM (midday) on 31st January 2025.

6. Felix Scholarship (University of Reading)
Eligibility –
- You must be an Indian national and not currently be living or studying outside of India.
- You must have not previously studied for one year or more outside India (unless you are Felix Alumnus).
- You must have at least a first-class bachelor’s degree from an Indian university or comparable institution.
- You must not hold a degree from a university outside of India.
- This scholarship is available to students pursuing either a PhD or master’s.
Amount –
- The scholarships cover tuition fees at the international rate and provide a stipend (maintenance grant) to cover living expenses (around £17,894). They also provide generous allowances for clothes, books and a return flight home.
Application Process –
- Only those candidates who have been accepted for admission will be considered for short listing. You can apply online for a master’s or PhD on our website. Short listing by all three universities will take place in March and April 2025.

7. Felix Scholarship (University of Oxford)

- You must be a national of and ordinarily resident in India;
- You must have a first-class undergraduate or master’s degree from an Indian university;
- You must not hold a degree from a university outside of India (this rule does not apply to study undertaken whilst in receipt of a Felix Scholarship); and
- You are expected to return to India after completing your studies.
- 100% of course fees, a grant for living costs (around £18,300) and one return flight from India/home country to the UK
- There is no separate application process: in order to be considered, you must submit your application for graduate study by the relevant December/January deadline for your course
8. Chevening Scholarship

Eligibility –
To be eligible for a Chevening Scholarship you must:
- Be a citizen of a Chevening-eligible country or territory.
- Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after your award has ended.
- Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain entry onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time you submit your application. This is typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK but may be different depending on your course and university choice.
- Have at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.
- Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received an unconditional offer from one of these choices by the deadline listed on the application timeline.
- You are not eligible for a Chevening Scholarship if you:
- Hold British or dual British citizenship (unless you are a citizen of a British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O) and are applying from Hong Kong).
- Hold refugee status in a non-Chevening eligible country. Applicants who are citizens of a Chevening-eligible country and who hold refugee status in a Chevening-eligible country are eligible for a scholarship.
- Are an employee, a former employee, or relative* of an employee of His Majesty’s Government, or have been within the last two years from the opening of Chevening applications (including the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, all British Embassies/High Commissions, the Home Office, the Ministry of Defence, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, the Department for International Trade and the UKVI), the British Council, a sponsoring UK university, or a staff member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
- Employees, former employees, or relatives* of an employee of Chevening Partner organisations are eligible to apply, but if the employment took place within the last two years, you cannot receive a Chevening Partner Award from the organisation from which you work, previously worked, or are affiliated with through relatives.
- Have previously studied in the UK with funding from a UK Government-funded scholarship.
- Having a master’s degree does not prevent you from applying for a Chevening Award to study for a second master’s degree in the UK, as long as you can clearly explain why it will help you fulfil your career plan to influence positive change in your home country.
- Once submitted, applications undergo an electronic sift against our eligibility criteria. Any applications deemed ineligible will be removed from the selection process. 9. Charles Wallace India Trust Scholarships

- Be an Indian citizen living in India
- Be aged between 28 and 38
- Have not received a CWIT grant within the last five years
- Have a first degree, diploma or professional qualification in their specialisation. CWIT prefers applicants with significant working experience
Amount –
- CWIT grant includes: accommodation and living costs in the UK and a contribution of £700 towards the international travel costs.
- CWIT grant does not include: travel costs within India; UK visa costs; or the costs of obtaining a valid IELTS certificate. Successful candidates will also need to arrange the appropriate level of insurance cover for travel and medical emergencies.

10. University of Lincoln India Scholarship

Eligibility –
- In order to be eligible to receive the India Scholarship, prospective students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a national of, or have permanent residence in, India.
- Hold a Conditional or Unconditional Offer from the University of Lincoln for a full-time postgraduate taught programme commencing in September/October 2023 or January/February 2024.
- Have been awarded, or be expected to receive, one of the following qualifications:

11. The University of Sheffield

Eligibility –
- Your programme must commence at the University of Sheffield in autumn 2025.
- Distance learning courses are ineligible for a merit scholarship.
- You must receive an offer for a course studied in full at the University of Sheffield. Masters programmes split between the University of Sheffield and a partner institution are not eligible to apply for a scholarship.
- All Crossways courses and Erasmus Mundus courses are ineligible for a merit scholarship.
- For tuition fee purposes you must be self-funded and required to pay the overseas tuition fee.
- You must not be a sponsored student*.
- For scholarship purposes all MArch programmes are considered as postgraduate taught programmes and are not eligible for undergraduate scholarships.
- Anyone studying a Masters/integrated PhD programme is eligible for a merit scholarship in the Masters element of the programme only.

- Each scholarship is a competitive award worth £10,000 towards the original tuition fee for a postgraduate taught programme starting in September 2025.

- This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. A panel of senior members of staff will select the strongest applications and will be looking for the following:
- Applicant has given examples of achievements which represent excellence and initiative in educational, voluntary, or professional areas.
- Applicant has shown how these achievements relate to the course they have applied for at the University of Sheffield and connected that to their future ambitions.

- In the event that you are selected for any of the above scholarships the most valuable award will take precedence.
- The scholarship can be awarded in conjunction with any available scholarships from the Department or Faculty you will be studying in, subject to not becoming a sponsored student*. Please use the funding calculator to find out if any scholarships are available from your Department/Faculty.
- The scholarship cannot be awarded in conjunction with any funding from an external sponsor**, excluding a loan, which has to be paid back in full.
- If you are receiving a loan (which has to be paid back in full) from an organisation to which we offer a discount, you are not able to combine this scholarship with the discount – the most valuable award will take precedence.
- If you are studying a 2-year masters programme the scholarship will be available in the second year of your studies subject to successful completion of year 1, and all remaining eligibility and award criteria.
- The scholarship is not applicable to any years in industry or study abroad years that are compulsory or optional elements of your course.
- If an offer of a place of study requires a deposit to be paid by a set date you must pay this deposit to continue to be eligible for the scholarship and to hold your offer for a place of study.
- If you are selected for a merit scholarship and you fail to meet the conditions of your offer you will no longer be eligible to receive the award.
- If you change your Masters programme during your studies your merit scholarship may be forfeited.
- The merit scholarship can be provided for a maximum of 2 full-time academic years. This does not include years in industry or year(s) abroad. For part-time students on programmes that last longer than one year the scholarship will be split pro rata for a maximum of 4 years.
- Part-time students will receive the full value of the scholarship split pro rata over the duration of the course.
- The scholarship will be applied as a tuition fee discount only, there is no cash alternative.
- The decision of the scholarship panel is final. No scholarship applications or decision appeals will be considered.
- All decisions made by the University are made in good faith. If a scholarship is awarded on the basis of predicted grades and you do not achieve the predicted grades or if the information provided is false, the University reserves the right to remove the scholarship.
- If you are selected for the scholarship, you will be required to pay a tuition fee deposit by a fixed date.
- If you are offered the scholarship, we’ll ask that you confirm acceptance of your scholarship by a fixed date. You will also need to accept your course offer by 4pm (UK time) on Tuesday 8 July 2025.

12. University of Bristol (Think Big postgraduate award)

Eligibility –
You can apply if you:
- have applied to any eligible one-year, full-time taught master’s programme, or one of our eligible two-year programmes: MSc Social Work and MA Law
- are starting your master’s programme in September 2025
- are classed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes.
- You do not need to have an offer to study before submitting an international scholarship application.
Amount –
- Scholarship awards for postgraduate international students are valued at £6,500, £13,000 and £26,000 per year and can only be used towards the cost of tuition fees.

- Ensure you are completing the correct form for your study level.
- The form cannot save your progress. Complete the application form in one session. Once you submit your application you cannot make any changes to your application after submission.

29. Imperial College London (J.P. Morgan Scholarship in Quantitative Finance)
Eligibility –
- The Scholarship shall be available to full-time postgraduate students demonstrating
- exceptional academic merit and/or potential, commencing an MSc course of study in
- Mathematics and Finance at the College, and meeting one or more of the following criteria:
- i. financially disadvantaged;
- ii. of an underrepresented minority ethnicity;
- iii. female;
- iv. have a disability as defined at section 6 Equality Act 2010
Amount –
- The value of the Scholarship will be £39,400, to be used to fund the scholar’s tuition fees.
- Any surplus shall be used to fund the scholar’s maintenance costs and/or ancillary costs of the course of study

- The UCL India Excellence Scholarship aims to enable and encourage Indian students with an outstanding academic record to pursue full-time Master’s degree studies at UCL.

- be eligible to pay the Overseas fee rate;

- have a bachelor’s degree, or be enrolled in the final year of a bachelor’s degree, from an institution listed in the Top 100 of the Government of India’s National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF );
- have a GPA in their bachelor’s degree that is equivalent to a UK first-class degree;
