Terms and Conditions

1. SCOPE OF CONDITIONS

These conditions will govern all the services provided by Collegepond (for the sake of brevity “The Company/Collegepond”). By signing the registration form, the customer/student acknowledges that he or she has read these conditions and agrees to be bound by each of them. Collegepond shall not be bound by any agreement which differs from these conditions unless such agreement is in writing and signed by an authorized officer of Collegepond.

2. BEST EFFORT BASIS

Collegepond does not guarantee results. However, Collegepond helps customers/students in achieving their academic and career objectives. The Company’s prior year results are representation of the Company’s capabilities. The Company works in the best interest of its students and assists on a Best Effort basis. Thus, the students/customers should not by no means construe as any form of 100% results or guarantee.

3. PLAGIARISM AND COPYING

Collegepond explicitly condemns plagiarism and copying. The Company is not responsible for identifying plagiarized pieces of work related to Essay writing. Collegepond accepts no responsibility if the customer is denied admission because of plagiarism and/or copying.

4. DEADLINES

Collegepond is not responsible if the student does not adhere to deadlines as agreed upon from time to time. The applications are time bound in nature and it is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the applications are submitted within the prescribed deadline. SOP and LOR questionnaires, and Resume MUST be submitted to us at least 15 days prior to your deadlines to avoid last moment hassles. We do not guarantee the completion of your documents before deadline if you approach us at the last moment. Failure to do so may result in the deadline not being met.

5. COPY WRITING

Collegepond does not write essays, recommendations and resumes for its customers/students. However, the Company shall assist and guide its customer/student in brainstorming, scripting and presenting the customer’s/student’s strengths in essays, recommendations and resume in a clear and effective manner. Collegepond is not responsible if any customer/student applies directly to the University/School/College without updating Collegepond and submits incomplete application to the University/School/College.

6. EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION SELECTION

Collegepond will propose and suggest its customer/student to apply from the list of the University/School/College as provided by the Company for the best interest of its customer/student. It is the customer’s/student’s responsibility to research the University/School/College and determine whether it is a “good fit”. The Company does not take any responsibility of its customer/student, if the customer/student applies to any other University/School/College outside the proposed list of University/School/College as provided by the Company. The Company does not take any responsibility for the school list the customer applies to and ultimately decides to go to.

7. ENTRANCE EXAM PREPARATIONS (Combo Packages)

Collegepond shall share the entrance exam preparation lecture schedule beforehand with the customers/students. In case of any exigency/unforeseen circumstances, the lectures will be rescheduled, and the customers/students will be duly informed about the same.

Online study material, topics-wise tests, and full-length tests will be provided. The online coaching course is valid for a period of 6 months from the date of your enrolment. Offline coaching course is valid for a period of 1 year from the date of your enrolment.

8. COMPLETION AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS FORM

The completion of application forms shall only be undertaken by the Collegepond application counselor for students who have selected the Premium package. It is the responsibility of the student to conduct a final review of the application form before submission, ensuring its accuracy. The Company does not take any responsibility if there are any inconsistencies in the submission of the application forms.

9. COLLEGEPOND STUDENTS APPLYING TO PARTNER UNIVERSITIES

Other than students enrolled for the Premium package, Collegepond students applying to Partner Universities are required to fill out all the online applications themselves. However, if the student requires assistance, they can get on a virtual meeting with their counselor. For applications processed through an agent portal, the respective counselors will fill in these applications on behalf of the student upon receiving the complete set of documents. The scholarship amount will be given as per the Counselling package availed and upon presentation of the transcript of the first semester in the Partner university applied within 90 days of submission provided the student is assigned/credited to Collegepond in the agent’s portal.

10. FINANCES

Collegepond does not prepare any financial documents for its customers/students. Further, Company is not responsible for generating financial resources to pursue education. The Company will suggest to its customers/students a list of prominent Financial Institutions from where the customer/students can get their desired finances and facilitate the loan acquisition and disbursement process subject to fulfilling the requirements of the financer/lender. Collegepond does not guarantee that a lender will sanction the loan.

11. VISAS

Collegepond will provide assistance to ensure that the customer/student is prepared for the Visa Interview for obtaining a visa to pursue higher education abroad. Though the Company has a substantial amount of success rate over the last decade for assisting its customer/student for obtaining the Visa, the Company does not take any responsibility should the customer be denied a Visa to pursue further education.

12. JOBS AND INTERNSHIPS

Collegepond will work on a best effort basis to help customers/students network with industry professionals with an objective to secure internship and full-time jobs. The Company does not take any responsibility if the customer is unable to secure an internship or full-time job.

13. FEE

Collegepond provides different Packages/Modules to the student based on their requirement. Each Package/Module shall have a different Fee. The students shall contact the office for the Fee Structure for the package/module opted by the students. The students are required to pay the entire Fees and there shall be no installments unless the company floats any promotional schemes. The Fees once paid shall not be refunded fully as Collegepond shall retain a minimum of Rs.15,000/- exclusive of GST for any package/module purchased by the student.

14. DEFAULTED PAYMENTS

Collegepond has the right to terminate its services should the customer/student not pay the payment as agreed upon at the time of registration. Collegepond is not liable for any consequences or damages that the customer may incur as a result of terminating its services.

15. REFUND POLICY

Collegepond will provide a refund in accordance with the following schedule should the customer decide to terminate the services. Collegepond will retain a minimum of Rs.15,000/- exclusive of GST towards the services acquired from the complete package. The refund amount is calculated from the total cost of the complete package at the time of enrolment

The Services for which the student has enrolled are non-transferable. If in the case the student is unable to utilize the complete services, he/she will not be able to transfer the same to another party. The refund process shall apply in accordance with the policy as hereto stated.

16. MULTIPLE COURSES

Applications will be limited to a singular course or a specific number of related programs based on the package that has been selected.

17. DEFERRING COUNSELLING SERVICES

Collegepond allows customers/students to defer their counselling services to the next term on the basis of the package selected.

18. TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DEFERRAL

(a) If the customer/student did not receive any admit, counseling services will continue without any additional charges.

(b) If the customer/student initiated the application process, but did not apply to any school and decides to defer, counseling services will continue without any additional charges provided it is the same course/field.

(c) If the customer/student has received admit/s and decided to defer his decision to the following year, Collegepond will charge 75% of the fees for the services that are duplicated.

(d) If the customer/student does not adhere to the university selection list provided by Collegepond and applies to his selected universities (i.e., only to ambitious and super-ambitious schools) and does not receive admission and requires Collegepond’s assistance in university selection, drafting SOP, LOR, Resume, etc., Collegepond will charge 100% of the fees for the services that are duplicated.

19. APPLICATION FEES

All incidental expenses related to the application process, such as University Application Fees, Test Preparation Exam Fees and Score Submissions, Courier Charges, Solvency Letter costs, Loan Processing Fees, etc., will be borne by the customer/student.

20. COMPLIMENTARY SERVICES FOR THE FOLLOWING

University names for Test Preparation Exams.
Students availing Combo pack shall be entitled for Notes, Mock Tests for students towards the preparation of Exam.
Students availing Combo pack shall be entitled for borrowing of GRE books from the Collegepond Library for a Limited time period.
Complimentary TOEFL/IELTS Masterclass for GRE coaching students only
Students who are enrolled in Pro and Premium packages can avail USA Parent Visa assistance (mock interviews for Parent’s Visa only).
Assistance with networking, resume, and cover letter once the customer/student is abroad (only for students who have taken the Pro and Premium packages)

21. RECOMMENDATION FOR CONDUCTING THE EDUCATION ABROAD CONSULTING PROCESS

To make the students ready to pursue education abroad, we strongly recommend that the application process be conducted in conjunction with the student exclusively. The family members may ask for periodic updates from us and guidance concerning finances, documentation, etc.

22. POLICY ON PACKAGE ENROLLMENT AND PROGRAM TYPE FOR MBA AND MASTERS STUDENT

A student who has enrolled for a package shall not have the option to shift to another package other than moving to a higher package. MBA packages are different from Masters packages, and should a student wish to apply to an MBA school, the student will be required to avail of an MBA package; the package pricing will be discussed accordingly.

23. DISRESPECTFUL BEHAVIOUR

Any use of profanity or disrespectful language/behavior towards Company employees will be considered sufficient grounds for termination of services without any refund.
