Grading System in France

In France, students’ academic performance is evaluated on a grading of 0-20. To pass, the student has to earn 10 points. French universities rarely award 20, 19, and 18 grades to students because they are stricter than secondary schools in the country.

A (excellent) 18 & above
B (very good, with few errors) 16-18
C (good, with few errors) 14-16
D (satisfactory, with many errors) 12-14
E (sufficient) 10 - 12
F (Failed) Lower than 10
