“The cornerstone of a nation’s future lies in the proper education of its youth,” quoted the renowned Dutch humanist Erasmus. Today’s young generation, when nurtured with guidance and training, holds the potential to emerge as tomorrow’s leaders and innovators. With fresh perspectives and innovative thinking, they can propose groundbreaking ideas and policies essential for national advancement, particularly through active engagement in politics. My own interest in social welfare was ignited during my school years, where I served as the leader of the Green Club, responsible for making environmentally conscious decisions for our community. This initial experience was further reinforced when I was elected as a House Prefect in high school, confirming my aptitude and passion for inspiring and leading teams toward progressive endeavors. Subsequently, my internship at the Prime Minister Awas Yojana project deepened my commitment to social welfare and underscored the potential of politics as a means to contribute to the nation’s development.

The Awas Yojana project spawned an initiative known as “Light House,” with the objective of providing housing to economically disadvantaged segments of society. During my two-month tenure as a Project Manager intern, I supported senior personnel in various tasks such as procurement, supervision, event planning, and organization. Engaging closely with government entities at the state level, I contributed to initiatives aimed at addressing housing challenges for the underprivileged. Particularly, I took a proactive role in communicating with daily wage laborers to comprehend their daily struggles and housing needs, subsequently collaborating with government officials to identify optimal solutions. Furthermore, this experience afforded me valuable insights into cutting-edge technologies like Pre-cast wall and steel structure infrastructure, areas yet to be extensively explored in India.

Engaging in another noteworthy endeavor underscored to me the influential role of politics in fostering national and societal progress. As an active participant in ENACTUS, I contributed to a team effort aimed at assisting farmers in embracing cost-effective models of Hydroponics technology, thereby enabling soilless farming and the productive utilization of barren lands for agricultural purposes. Moreover, our initiative involved educating farmers about various government insurance and healthcare schemes while facilitating direct marketing from farmers to consumers. Additionally, we empowered women by imparting skills in cookie-making for income generation. Through collaboration with governmental bodies via a student organization, I spearheaded delegations and advocated for improved educational opportunities at affordable rates for rural students, manifesting our commitment to advancing equitable access to education.

Witnessing the tangible impact of our efforts, bolstered by political backing, underscored for me the significant influence that youth can wield in shaping political landscapes and fostering national development. Consequently, I am driven to pursue a Master’s in Public Policy and Management. Following completion of my degree, my aim is to serve as a political advisor, leveraging my expertise to address societal concerns through informed policy initiatives and aiding political aspirants in their electoral endeavors. Ultimately, I aspire to contribute to the governance of our nation by spearheading public policies that prioritize effective ideation and implementation, thus advancing the collective welfare of our society.

My academic journey has been instrumental in preparing me for advanced studies at the master’s level. Combining my undergraduate studies in Civil Engineering with an MBA program has enriched my comprehension of infrastructure creation and management, alongside the policies essential for their execution. Courses like Construction Project Management, Construction Economics and Finance Management, and Construction Contracts and Administration have furnished me with a comprehensive understanding of economic considerations in project assessments, encompassing cost analysis and feasibility evaluations. Additionally, my management coursework in finance, marketing, and branding has equipped me with indispensable insights applicable to engagements with political entities, public officials, and governmental initiatives and policies.

In our final year project, our team effectively researched and formulated an eco-friendly concrete material composed of shredded rubber tires and nanosilica. We conducted a sustainability assessment to evaluate its efficacy in minimizing carbon emissions compared to conventional materials. Our findings culminated in the publication of a research paper titled “Sustainability and Cost Analysis, and the Potential of Shredded Rubber Tires with Nano Silica” in the International Journal of Scientific and Advanced Research in Technology (IJSART).

Another significant accomplishment was our team being selected as finalists for UQ FLOOD RESILIENCE 2021, hosted by The University of Queensland, Australia. During the event, we proposed the construction of wells in flood-prone rural regions to mitigate flooding, store surplus water, and generate electricity. Our patent, titled “An Automated Floodwater Regulating Multipurpose System for Harvesting Water Overflow and Simultaneous Electricity Generation,” has been officially published. Additionally, there are plans to implement this concept in rural areas of western Maharashtra.

During my management internship, I led a project at JK Cement Ltd titled “Competitive Analysis of JK Cement from a Branding Perspective in Madhya Pradesh, India.” Over the course of four months, I applied my engineering background to various business aspects. This involved conducting market surveys of cement shops using questionnaires, conducting in-depth branding analysis, and ultimately presenting the findings in a comprehensive report to the management. These experiences not only deepened my understanding of human behavior and psychology but also allowed me to refine my interpersonal and communication skills.

In addition to my academic pursuits, I have engaged in a wide array of co-curricular activities that have facilitated my holistic development. Notably, I have been an active contributor on Quora, where I have authored numerous articles expressing my political perspectives. One of my articles garnered over 100,000 views and received 10,000 upvotes, reflecting its impact and resonance with the audience. Additionally, I am passionate about quizzing and have participated in collegiate debate competitions, honing my critical thinking and public speaking skills.

Moreover, I am deeply involved as a volunteer with various NGOs dedicated to providing free education to underprivileged children. I actively participate in fundraising initiatives and engage in distributing essential supplies to families affected by the pandemic, demonstrating my commitment to social welfare. I stay informed about global parliamentary politics by closely following social media channels and news publications, particularly during election campaigns. Furthermore, I seize opportunities to visit party offices and attend election rallies, where I immerse myself in the political discourse and rhetoric delivered by campaigning leaders.

As I contemplate my career aspirations, I recognize that my academic accomplishments, coupled with my dedication to social welfare and political engagement, have ignited my desire to pursue a Master’s in Public Policy and Management at _____________.
