The following is a list of popular government and non-government scholarships available for Indian students to study in New Zealand.

New Zealand Commonwealth scholarships | Indian students who wish to pursue master’s and Ph.D. in New Zealand can apply for this Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan. This scholarship covers living expenses, tuition fees, health insurance, travel expenses, and start-up expense. Allowance: NZ $491 per week for living expenses; set-up allowance of NZ $3000; travel, medical, and research costs are offered to students pursuing master’s programs in New Zealand. |
New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (NZIDRS) | These scholarships are awarded to Indian students who wish to enrol in PhD programs in New Zealand. The scholarships are established by the government of New Zealand and cover university tuition fee, living stipend (up to NZ$25,000) and health insurance coverage up to NZ$600 annually. The scholarships are awarded for three years. |
New Zealand International Undergraduate Fees Scholarship (NZIUFS) | This scholarship is established by the government of New Zealand and awarded to Indian students wishing to pursue undergraduate courses in New Zealand from the following eight universitiesUniversity of AUTUniversity of LincolnUniversity of MasseyAuckland UniversityCanterbury UniversityOtago UniversityWaikato UniversityWellington University of Victoria This scholarship doesn’t cover disciplines like aeronautics, dental surgery, medicine, optometric, and veterinary sciences. New Zealand Excellence Scholarships | These scholarships are awarded to Indian students wishing to pursue undergraduate and PG programs in New Zealand. It is jointly funded by New Zealand universities and Education New Zealand (ENZ). The scholarship value is NZ$5,000 for graduate and NZ$10,000 for undergraduate courses. |
NZ-GRADS New Zealand Global Research Alliance Doctoral Scholarship | Introduced by the Global Research Alliance on Agricultural Green House Emissions, this scholarship is awarded to Indian students who wish to enrol for PhD program in agricultural emission science. The scholarship value is NZ$47,200 and covers tuition fees, annual stipend, medical insurance, visa application fee, airfare, research allowance, and so on. |
