Letter of Recommendation for Aeronautical Engineering (Purdue University)

Following is a sample undergraduate study abroad LOR for Aeronautical Engineering (Purdue University)
To whom it may concern:
It would like to introduce Mr. __________, at your prestigious university. He has been my student for the past two and half years. I have taught him subjects including Aircraft Systems and Instruments, Flight Dynamics and Aero-elasticity. I have observed him to be an industrious worker, with superior emotional and intellectual maturity. Therefore, I am pleased to recommend him as an applicant for the Graduate Program at your Institution.
Since the time I have known him, he has had a highly impressive academic record in not only my subjects but all the courses he has undertaken. He is always among the toppers in class and has always secured an A grade and above in all the subjects taught by me. He is a regular student to all his classes and is always interested in learning something new, adding to his knowledge in the field of aerospace. His strong technical background coupled with his inquisitive mind makes him well suited for aerospace engineering where there is a vast scope for research and development.
His success can be attributed to this drive to understand the theories and concepts taught in class in detail. He refers to outside material and does not hesitate to deviate from the normal curriculum and go out of the way. In the 3rd semester when the class just entered into aerospace and were learning the basics, he took the initiative and set up a team of three students to take part in Wright Design Competition held at IIT MADRAS technical fest named SHAASTRA and successfully completed the task. He has also been a part of the technical team of AEROMIT for two seasons and participated in SAE AeroDesign competition held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA and Van Nuys, California, USA in 2011 and 2012 respectively. His work as a part of the technical team has been highly commendable. Instinctive thinking, trouble shooting and problem solving abilities, immense knowledge and experience and hard work have helped him to lead his team to a successful completion of the task.
In order to strengthen his hold over the subject and to learn the current progress in the aerospace field, he has utilized every vacation to be a part of the aerospace industry and gain first-hand experience. These include, an industrial visit to Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Ltd Bangalore for 10 days in December 2010, 30 day training at AIR INDIA in June 2011 and an industrial visit to witness the assembly line of F-22 and C130J aircrafts at LOCKHEED MARTIN, Georgia, USA. He was the first person in his class to have earned an internship for 5 months as a part of his 8th semester project under IAESTE IndiaMIT organisation. His strong technical background and firm hold over software like CATIA, ANSYS, FLUENT and languages like C and C++ earned him this spot among 110 students all over the country to intern at Vrije Universiteit Brussels, Belgium. His job at this university is to carry out Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis on different objects and note their behaviour in different fluids.
On a personal level, I believe he can make a good research engineer. He is hardworking, ambitious and will trace his path to success. With consistent academic performance, intellectual acumen and leadership skills, he stands out as a distinguished and valuable student of our institute. I believe that he has the requisite motivation, dedication and devotion to attain his career goals. Therefore, I strongly recommend him for higher studies at your honoured university.
Regards,
Mr. _____________
