Candidates who are at the end of the 1st year of their overseas studies, with at least one full academic year remaining to complete at the time of award (normally by July of any calendar year)
J N Tata scholars who have fully repaid their existing loan scholarship amount.
The course to which candidates are admitted must be recognized as a Graduate Program (post-graduate in Indian terminology), where the entry requirement is an undergraduate degree.
Agha Khan Scholarships

Fulbright-Nehru Master’s Fellowships

must have completed an equivalent of a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a recognized Indian university with at least 55% marks. must have at least three years’ full-time (paid) professional work experience relevant to the proposed field of study by the application deadline;
should demonstrate experience in leadership and community service;
must not have another degree from a U.S. university or be enrolled in a U.S. degree program; and
if employed, should follow the instructions carefully regarding employer’s endorsement. If applicable, obtain the endorsement from the appropriate administrative authority on the FNMasters Employer’s Endorsement Form. Indian passport holders who hold a good undergraduate degree from a recognised university abroad must have resided continuously, been employed, or have been studying in India for at least two years after their undergraduation.
Candidates having a postgraduate qualification (e.g. Master’s or PhD) from an institution abroad are not eligible to apply.
Candidates who are already studying or have started their postgraduate education at an institution abroad are not eligible to apply.
It is essential to have prior admission to the institution and course chosen at the time of the application. The Foundation will not consider candidates without evidence of admission.
Candidates who have an English language certification as a conditional part of their offer letter need to attain that certification before applying for the scholarship.
Candidates who have received a deferred offer of admission must have a valid offer for the academic year 2022-23 to be eligible for the 2022 scholarships.
Those born on or after 1stJanuary 1992 are eligible to apply for the 2022 scholarships.
For Social Sciences, Humanities, Law, Fine Arts, Architecture and related subjects, candidates must have a minimum academic grade of 65%, CGPA 6.8, or GPA 2.6 from a recognized university/institution.
For Mathematics, Sciences, Environment and related subjects, candidates must have a minimum academic grade of 70%, CGPA 7.2, or GPA 2.8 from a recognized university/institution.
A candidate must have a valid passport to apply.
Only one submission per candidate will be accepted.
The online portal will not accept applications that do not meet the academic and financial eligibility criteria as given above.
Two letters of reference are mandatory and one must be from an academic referee; candidates must provide official email addresses for both referees. For applications made on 30 March 2022, the referee link will be valid for seven days post submission till 6 April 2022.

You’re eligible to enter The Global Study Awards if you’re over 18, plan to study abroad on an undergraduate or postgraduate course, and have shown:
the potential to contribute to society through your studies

The prize will be applied towards the winner’s tuition fees and will be paid directly to the higher education institution where you plan to study.

Discretionary components
The Trust also considers applications for several types of additional funding on a discretionary basis:
Academic development funding – from up to £500 to up to £2,000, dependent on the length of your course, to attend conferences and courses.
Family allowance – up to £10,944 for one child and up to £15,612 for two or more children (2022-23 rate). No funding is provided for a partner.
Fieldwork – you may apply to keep up to your normal maintenance allowance while on fieldwork as part of your PhD (the Trust does not fund other fieldwork costs as these should be funded by the University Composition Fee).
Maternity/Paternity funding – should you require it, you may apply to intermit your studies for up to 6 months and continue to receive your maintenance allowance during this time
Hardship funding – for unforeseen difficulties facing the scholar
